Absolutely. Couples come from all over Australia and the world to marry here. The main requirement is a Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM), lodged with your celebrant at least one calendar month (and no more than 18 months) before your ceremony. Since 2024 it can even be witnessed remotely, so you can start from home.
It’s the standard legal form every couple marrying in Australia completes. Your celebrant lodges it, walks you through it, and files everything with Births, Deaths & Marriages afterwards. We handle the paperwork so you don’t have to.
Photo ID plus proof of date and place of birth. A passport covers both, or bring a birth certificate plus a driver’s licence. If either of you has been married before, you’ll need a divorce decree or death certificate.
Yes, two witnesses aged 18 or over. If it’s just the two of you, no problem: your photographer and a member of our team can step in.
Your celebrant registers the marriage with BDM within 14 days. We then point you to how to order your official certificate and update your name.

Most public beaches and gardens require a council event permit, and some private venues charge a hire fee. We give you a step-by-step guide and help you sort it.
Yes, it’s our most iconic option. Whitehaven is reached by boat or helicopter (there’s no road). A low-impact permit is required, and fresh flowers aren’t allowed on the sand to protect the beach, so we style with alternatives. Worth every bit of effort.
Those resort islands have their own on-island wedding teams, so we’ll point you their way. Many couples marry in Airlie Beach with us and then celebrate on-island afterwards.
May to October is the sweet spot: dry, mild, calm seas and whale season. January to March is the wet season (warmer and greener, but rain and stingers), so we plan around it.
We keep a wet-weather backup in your plan and stay flexible with timing on the day. Tropical showers usually pass quickly, and your celebrant and photographer are used to working with the weather.

Every package includes a celebrant and all legal paperwork, professional photography, and access to our Little Black Book of trusted vendors. Higher tiers add styling, florals, premium locations and more.
A 50% deposit locks in your date, with the balance due two months before your wedding. The deposit is non-refundable; anything above it is refundable up until two months prior, and we can transfer dates on request.
Of course. From just the two of you up to around twenty guests depending on the package and location. Tell us your numbers and we’ll tailor it.
Yes. Bring your own preferred photographer (confirmed two months ahead), or add florals, hair and makeup, cake, videography and more from our add-ons.
You show up. We handle the rest: celebrant, signing table, witnesses, photographer and permits are all organised. You’ll meet your celebrant beforehand to finalise the legals and your vows, then simply enjoy your ceremony.
The ceremony itself is usually 20 to 30 minutes, with photography around it. Most elopements are relaxed half-day experiences.
As soon as you can. Popular dates in peak season book out, and remember the NOIM needs to be lodged at least a month before. That said, we love a good short-notice adventure too.
